EPS have the most experienced, talented and fun soccer coaches that myself and my son have ever met. They treat every player with respect and will not tolerate any negative behavior between players. Not only is my son getting the best coaching experience ever, but I have made some very good friends, especially Matt and Glenn. Keep it up guys, looking forward to the new season

For the past three years I have had numerous occasions to be engaged with English Pro Soccer on many different levels. I have personally played soccer for almost 40 years and still play at a high level. Over the past three years I have had the honor to play with Matt and Glenn and have been impressed with their individual skill. I have also been present at many of their training sessions,
including my daughter’s practices and games. Their knowledge of the game, coaching technique and ability to train the individual based on their individual abilities is second to none. Coach Higgins has conveyed and obtained a positive, uplifting
attitude ever since the minute we met him in the beginning of
the summer, before the season had started. He has created a
positive atmosphere with his limitless belief in us and his
ability to give us confidence when we might not have it in
ourselves. Coach Higgins not only understands us as players, but
tries to understand us as individuals as well, helping create a
trust that all players should have with their coaches. He
strives to make every player be the best that they can be by
encouraging us and giving us constructive criticism when needed.
Coach gives everyone equal opportunities to play and has shown
us that hard work does eventually pay off. He is exactly what
this program needed and at the right time. When times get tough,
Coach Higgins never gives up on us.

Coach Higgins is an excellent coach, though he has only been my coach for my
first season of college soccer, but he has pushed me through one of the hardest preseason
of my life. He always comes prepared to practice and games with the perfect formation
to defend our opponent and plays set pieces that could help us win games. Coach
Higgins is a caring coach that only wants the best for his players and his program. He
has the right tactics to prepare for the season starting with an intense preseason that puts
everyone into amazing shape. He pushes us as far as he knows we can go and when he
sees that we are hurting after a long day of hard work he gives us the appropriate time
off to rest so we can push ourselves again the next day. With Coaches dedication to the
Ramapo College program, I believe we can see great success in the future and reshape the
way others view the women’s soccer program.

I have only gotten the pleasure of having Matt Higgins as a coach for one year.
However, I am very thankful for that year. Matt Higgins is not only a highly
experienced soccer player, but he is a fantastic coach. He pays attention to every
little detail that goes on within each game and practice, and puts a constant
effort in to make our team better. He truly cares about each player. He is aware
of all of our weaknesses as well as our strengths, and he gives each individual
player a fair chance every single day to prove what they can do.
One thing he has done especially well is build our team chemistry, which is
something that none of my former coaches have successfully done in the past.
He wants us to care about one another just as much as he cares about each of
us. Our team used to be the type of team in which each player only plays for
themselves. That has all changed since we have experienced Coach Higgins as a
mentor. He understands that a great team plays for one another.
Through the coaching I have received from Matt Higgins, I believe that I am not
only a better soccer player, but a better person. I have learned through him the
values of respect and integrity - two core values that he possesses himself. I
very much look forward to having Matt Higgins as a coach for the rest of my

Coach Matt taught us many different aspects of the game and had a large impact on my soccer career. Not only did he teach me the tactical and technical parts of the game but he was a great motivator. Coach’s leadership rubbed off on me and I became captain for Morris Catholic High School,County College of Morris and I a current co-captain at East Stroudsburg University. I would not have been able to become the player I am today if it weren’t for Coach Matt and his mentoring.
